NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- NYC Ferry has indefinitely suspended service to and from its stop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
In a pair of tweets posted on Sunday, the agency said it suspended service to and from the Greenpoint pier because the pier's new owner restricted access.
"Due to temporary restrictions to the Greenpoint pier, ferry service to and from the Greenpoint landing will be suspended until further notice," NYC Ferry wrote. "We will post updates on ferry.nyc and the NYC Ferry app when service will resume."
"We are working diligently to resolve the issue," the agency added. "We apologize for any inconvenience."
Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday said the city hoped to "settle [the issue] very quickly and get that ferry stop back into service, hopefully as early as today."
