NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New York City’s stormy holiday weekend weather wasn’t what most had hoped for, but conditions are expected to quickly dry out and warm up over the next several days as the city pushes closer to summer.
Memorial Day was cloudy and damp with an early lingering shower in the afternoon, but is expected to get a touch warmer as the high jumps to 72, AccuWeather said. Some brightening of the sky is also expected.
The low will drop to 62 overnight amid cloudy skies before the beginning of the shortened work week.
Tuesday will see some warmer weather, with partly sunny skies and a high of 80, AccuWeather said.
The temperature climb will continue on Wednesday, topping out at 84, as sunlight streaks through high clouds, according to AccuWeather.
Thursday should be breezy and not quite as warm with a high of 78 amid sun and some clouds. This partly-sunny blend will continue into Friday, as temperatures remain in the mid 70s.
