NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released images Wednesday of a suspect wanted for vandalizing multiple churches in Queens with “anti-Christian statements.”

The vandalism spree took place in Far Rockaway over roughly 20 minutes on the morning of Oct. 5, police said. It is being investigated as a hate crime.

Video released by police shows the suspect—wearing sunglasses and a hat, and donning a rainbow bandana and flag—spray-painting the words “anti-gay cult" outside one of the churches.

The Refuge Church of Christ on Mott Avenue was the first church vandalized around 1:40 a.m. The City of Oasis Church of Deliverance was hit less than five minutes later. Then at 2 a.m., St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church on New Haven Avenue was vandalized, police said.
