NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A former NYPD captain who was fired after pleading guilty to administrative charges related to a 2021 rape lawsuit now stands accused of using a peephole to spy on coworkers in the women’s locker room at Yankee Stadium.

Jeffrey Brienza, 49, was the head of the Yankee Stadium security detail. Gillian Roberts, a former officer who accused him of rape, filed an affidavit on Friday claiming the captain showed her a peephole he used to spy on the women’s locker room.

“I asked him how was that possible?” Roberts testified. “Shockingly, I witnessed him turn towards the wall and remove a calendar or some other paper exposing a peephole and he proceeded to peep through the hole while laughing.”

Roberts’ lawyer filed the affidavit in an attempt to secure a judicial subpoena mandating Yankee Stadium provide information regarding the peephole.

By securing such information, Roberts’ could demonstrate a pattern of sexually inappropriate behavior.

In 2021, Roberts filed a lawsuit accused Brienza of raping her at the stadium multiple times while the both worked at the NYPD substation there. The NYPD fired Roberts after he pleaded guilty to administrative charges brought in relation to the lawsuit.

Brienza has denied the rape allegations, and his lawyer denied the voyeurism claim to the New York Daily News.
