Vera Mekuli, 27, showed up barefoot and smelling of liquor to the barracks in Totowa. There she identified herself as NYPD and demanded to speak to the officer who arrested her cousin, according to an NYPD report.

The troopers told her they needed to follow procedures as she continued to rant about her cousin’s arrest, documents show.

After the incident, the frazzled cops reported Mekuli’s conduct to the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau.

The report indicates body camera footage corroborated their complaint.

The NYPD suspended Mekuli without pay, though officials would not specify for how long.

This isn’t Mekuli’s first salacious scandal. In December 2021 a video of her giving her lieutenant, Nick McGarry, a lapdance ended with her boss’ transfer.
