The 53-year-old victim had just boarded a southbound 4 train at the Fulton Street station around 11 p.m. Monday when the man came up from behind and pushed her, police said.

The woman fell forward and struck a subway pole, causing injuries to her face.

She was taken to NYU Langone Health—Cobble Hill, where she was treated for a fractured eye socket and a fractured cheek bone.

The suspect fled and was still being sought Wednesday.
