NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Tuesday are investigating after a 35-year-old woman was found stabbed to death inside her Harlem apartment.
Officers responded to a 911 call Sunday for a foul odor at an apartment at the St. Nicholas Houses located at on Frederick Douglass Blvd. near West 129th Street.
Authorities said Jessica Mitcham had been dead at least several days when she was discovered on the bathroom floor.
She had been stabbed in the chest and neck and left inside the apartment, officials said.
Police are searching for her attacker but have not yet identified a person of interest.
An investigation is ongoing.
