NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A police lieutenant injured his head after he tripped and fell while chasing after a suspected shoplifter in Lower Manhattan Thursday, officials said.
The incident happened at approximately around 3:10 p.m. outside of 300 Mercer Street in NoHo, authorities said.
According to police, a shoplifter swiped a pair of sunglasses from a nearby store and an employee flagged down police outside.
