NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who shot and killed a 52-year-old woman on Staten Island last month.
A stray bullet hit Staten Island mother Sue Doe in the head on Nov. 16 after someone fired several shots out of a white 2019 Kia Sorento on Park Hill Avenue in Fox Hills, police said.
Doe, who was not the intended target, was pronounced dead on Nov. 25, the NYPD said. Police are now searching for the person who fired the shot that hit her.
"There is a reward of $10,000 payable by the city of New York upon an arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for [Doe's murder]," the NYPD said in a release on Tuesday.
Doe had an 18-year-old daughter and a 21-year-old son, both of whom were at the scene when she was shot, the Staten Island Advance reported.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
