NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — NYPD released bodycam video of officers who saved a woman from jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge earlier this week.
Just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Lt. Hak Kim and Officer Brendan Giardino of the 5th Precinct spotted a 25-year-old woman walking across the beam towards the cables of the Brooklyn Bridge during a downpour, officials said.
"Don't do it, get down please," Lt. Kim, tells the woman at the start of the video.
"Please don’t do this. We got you," Lt. Kim says. "We’re gonna help you out, please."
The officers eventually convinced the woman to come down. She was taken to an area hospital for a psychological evaluation, according to police.
"We got you, okay," Lt. Kim said at the end of the video.
