NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The NYPD returned a French Bulldog to its 15-year-old owner shortly after an armed dognapper stole the pooch in Queens, police said.
"A thief is in the dog pound after he was caught robbing a teen of his French Bulldog at gunpoint," NYPD News posted on X.

Authorities said that at about 9 p.m. on Christmas Day, officers with the Housing Bureau's Police Service Area 9 responded to a crime in progress near 41-14 10th Street, in the vicinity of the NYCHA Queensbridge South Houses in Queens.
Upon arrival, the 15-year-old male dog owner told officers that a man pulled out a gun and stole his French Bulldog while he was under duress, cops said.

Officers canvassed the area, and after a brief chase the robber was arrested. Both the gun and French Bulldog were recovered.
"Thanks to the quick actions by your @NYPDPSA9 cops, the criminal was caught, a firearm was recovered, and the owner and pooch will not be having a RUFF day," the X post by NYPD News added.
