NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a baseball bat-wielding assailant who beat a man inside a Bronx subway station last week, the NYPD said Sunday.

The attack took place at the Kingsbridge Road station at about 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29.

A 40-year-old man was approached by the suspect, who bashed him in the face with the bat multiple times, police said.

Medics took the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment in stable condition.

The suspect—last seen wearing a black jacket, brown hooded sweatshirt, green pants and black baseball cap—fled the scene on foot.

Police released surveillance images of the alleged attacker in the hope someone will recognize him.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
