NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released an image Wednesday of a victim who they say was found severely beaten on a bike path on Randalls Island last Friday night.

The 44-year-old victim was discovered unresponsive around 11:30 p.m. at 600 East 125 St., police said.

She had serious physical injuries from being struck multiple times in the head and face, according to police.

She was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where she's in critical condition.

The circumstances surrounding the attack are still unclear this week as the victim remains hospitalized.

Police believe there may be multiple suspects and are seeking additional information from anyone in the area at the time of the attack.

No descriptions or images of the suspect or suspects have been released.
