NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A marked police van was hit with eggs and then doused with gasoline as officers sat inside in the Bronx Friday night, according to the NYPD.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Valentine Avenue and East 180th Street in West Bronx, near the 46th Police Precinct, around 10:22 p.m., police said.

A group approached the van, tossing eggs and scrawling anti-NYPD graffiti on it, while a man in a red hooded sweatshirt poured gasoline over the vehicle — though the van was never ignited, police said.

Two cops were inside the van at the time and quickly jumped out, according to the NYPD.

The suspects fled the scene and there have been no arrests in what could amount to a criminal mischief case.
