NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – An off-duty FDNY paramedic was busted after driving drunk and smashing into a police car in Queens, the NYPD said.

FDNY paramedic Syhon Rivers, 28, was double-parked in his 2015 BMW on 20th Avenue and 37th Street in Astoria at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

According to police, when officers pulled up to investigate, Rivers tried to drive off and crashed into the patrol car.

The officers were not injured, police confirmed.

Rivers was charged with DWI after his blood alcohol level was confirmed to be .086, police said.

Authorities said Rivers also caught a charge for criminal possession of a weapon after police found brass knuckles in his car.

Rivers has been with the FDNY since 2015, according to public records.
