NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – An off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged on Friday in Staten Island, police said.
Johnnie May Witcher, 43, was arrested at 12 a.m., according to the police.
Witcher works in the New York City Department of Corrections.
Witcher was charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child and assault, according to police records.
A spokesperson from the Department of Corrections told 1010 WINS that the "officer had been suspended without pay due to a felony arrest."
