NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Emergency crews responded to the scene after part of a crane collapsed onto a building in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred at 1442 44th St. in Borough Park, just after 2:30 p.m.
According to cops, a crane cable broke, causing the top portion of the crane to fall and strike the roof of a four-story building.

There were no occupants inside the building at the time, and no injuries have been reported.
The Department of Buildings has been notified and is currently investigating the cause of the collapse.
