NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials arrested a drunk driver who struck three cars in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Queens on Thursday.
At approximately 4:24 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of an injured woman at 60-29 56th Dr. in Maspeth.
Upon arrival, officers observed 29-year-old Bridget Enriquez, unconscious and unresponsive, inside a Nissan Altima sedan.
EMS responded and transported the woman passenger and the driver, 27-year-old Ray Perez to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst.
Perez was in stable condition and Enriquez was in critical condition.
She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad determined that at approximately 4:09 a.m., the Nissan was involved in a motor vehicle collision at 47th Street and 28th Avenue in Astoria.
The Nissan was traveling westbound on 28th Avenue when it collided with a Honda Ridgeline pick-up that was traveling northbound on 47th Street.
The Nissan proceeded to flee the scene with Enriquez still in the car and collided with two parked and unattended vehicles: an Alpha Romeo SUV and a Nissan Sentra sedan, officials said.
The 34-year-old man driving the Honda did not report any injuries. Perez, who was operating the Nissan Altima was taken into custody.
Following an investigation officials arrested and charged Perez.
He was charged with vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated unlicensed operator, driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operator.
Enriquez was Perez's girlfriend, the Daily News reported.
