NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released a photo on Tuesday of a 31-year-old woman wanted in connection with a stabbing on a ride-share driver in the Bronx last month.
It happened at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, when Makenda Hazel was a passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on East 215th Street, cops said.
According to police, Hazel attempted to pay with counterfeit currency. Following a dispute over the fare, she allegedly stabbed the 48-year-old male driver in the right side of his torso with an unknown object before fleeing on foot south toward East 213th Street.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police describe Hazel as approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 150 pounds.
