NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Train service on the A, C and E lines was disrupted Monday afternoon after a man was struck by an A train at the Chambers Street station in lower Manhattan, the MTA said.
The MTA tweeted around 4:30 p.m. that follow service disruptions, "A/C/E trains have resumed service along 8th Av."
But, here's the caveat: "While NYPD and EMS conclude their investigation, Brooklyn-bound A C trains are stopping along the F line from W 4 St-Wash Sq to Chambers St."
The man was walking along the train roadbed shortly before 4 p.m. when the train hit him, the NYPD told 1010 WINS. The train operator was unable to stop in time.
Police said the man was assisted by EMS and transported with head trauma to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. The man was conscious and alert, police said.
