MOONACHIE, N.J. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – New floats for the 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade were unveiled in New Jersey on Tuesday, with just one week to go before the annual extravaganza in Manhattan.
The floats were revealed at Macy's Parade Studio in Moonachie, where crews have been hard at work before the parade on Thursday, Nov. 23.
This year’s four new floats include Mutant Mayhem by Nickelodeon & Paramount; Palace Of Sweets by Brach’s; Igniting Memories by Solo Stove; and The Deliciously Delectable World of Wonka by Warner Bros.

The Good Burgermobile by Nickelodeon & Paramount+ is also making its debut at this year’s parade.
Designers and carpenters have been working on the new floats for more than a year.

Macy’s product operations director Kathleen Wright told 1010 WINS that the unveiling in New Jersey is “a nice celebration of the accomplishment before the big day.”
“It’s a lot of work, time, effort and energy,” Wright said. “But the talent you can see on these floats is just unmatched.”

Each float is carefully designed down to the detail, including to ensure some of the taller floats can fit through the Lincoln Tunnel by using hidden hinges.
Among the stunning details are the sweets adorning the Wonka float. “There’s over 500,000 pieces of individual candies that have been molded onto this float,” Wright said.
1010 WINS is the official radio station of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The parade will kick off at West 77th Street and Central Park West at 8:30 a.m. It will run south along Central Park West, Central Park South and Sixth Avenue, ending at Macy's Herald Square at West 34th Street and Seventh Avenue.
