NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Staten Island altercation escalated into a suspect beating a man to the ground with punches and an object, police said.
On Sept. 12 just after 5:30 p.m., a person got into an argument with a 52-year-old man near Odin Street and Richmond Road, police said.
Cops said the fight escalated, with a suspect punching the 52-year-old victim in the face and knocking him to the ground. They also went to their car, pulled out a blunt object and struck them with it multiple times.
The suspect is said to have fled on Richmond Road toward Amboy Road in a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.

The victim suffered an orbital fracture, multiple face contusions and a laceration on the arm. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police released photos showing the suspect and the vehicle he drove away in.
