NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Revelers flooded the streets of Midtown Manhattan on Saturday dressed as jolly Saint Nick and various other Christmas notables to celebrate SantaCon 2022.

The annual bar crawl officially ran from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., though participants are known to start early and end late.

This year, Santas were directed to 50 participating bars for the “charitable, non-political, nonsensical Santa Claus convention that happens once a year to spread absurdist joy,” according to the event’s website.

The MTA instituted a 32-hour alcohol ban that started Dec. 10 at 4 a.m. in an attempt to get ahead of the rowdy crowds.

The NYPD asked party-goers to ditch open containers, respect local residents and stay out of the street.
