NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released images Thursday showing a suspect dressed in pirate regalia who's wanted for punching and robbing someone of their sneakers at a Bronx subway station last weekend.
The 32-year-old victim was at the turnstile of the Brook Avenue station on the 6 line in Mott Haven early Sunday when they were attacked at 4 a.m. by the suspect, apparently wearing a Halloween costume, according to cops.
The suspect—captured in a full pirate garb complete with captain's hat—punched the victim repeatedly in the face and body, police said.
He then stole their sneakers and their Apple AirPods before fleeing the scene on foot, according to cops.
The victim suffered minor injuries and declined medical attention at the scene.
