NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two men wanted in connection with an armed carjacking outside a Brooklyn business last month.
According to the NYPD, the incident happened Monday, June 22, at approximately 2:50 p.m. inside CARSTAR Brooklyn Auto Solutions in the Canarsie neighborhood.
Investigators say a 60-year-old man was inside the business when two unidentified people came up to him and pointed a gun, demanding he exit his vehicle. The suspects then fled in the victim's car, heading eastbound on Glenwood Road, police said.
The victim was not injured. The stolen vehicle was later recovered near East 105th Street and Avenue J.
The first suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion and slim build, with short dreadlocks, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black shorts. The second suspect has a medium complexion and slim build, with an afro hairstyle, and was last seen wearing a white shirt and grey shorts.
The NYPD has released images of both individuals on Thursday in hopes that the public can help identify them.
