Police investigate violent robbery of Alo Yoga store in Flatiron

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are seeking two suspects wanted in connection to a robbery and assault at an Alo Yoga store in Flatiron earlier this month and released photos of the suspects on Thursday to aid their investigation.

Two women entered an Alo Yoga store, located at 164 Fifth Ave. in Flatiron, at about 6:13 p.m. on Feb. 6, police said.

Officials said that the suspects removed store merchandise, and when store employees attempted to stop them, the altercation turned violent.

A 21-year-old female employee and a 24-year-old woman both suffered scratches to the face, police said. They were treated at the scene by EMS.

It is unclear what merchandise was taken, or its retail value.

Authorities said that the women fled on foot southbound down Fifth Avenue.

The first suspect is described by police as a woman in her early 20s with a medium build. She was last seen wearing a blue jacket with a star, gray sweatpants, black sneakers and carrying a black canvas bag.

The second suspect is described by police as a woman with a medium build, and she was last seen in a black jacket, tan sweatpants, glasses, a brown baseball cap and a black sweater.
