NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police released surveillance footage of a driver sought in a Bronx hit-run crash that killed an 82-year-old man early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 5:19 a.m., an 82-year-old man was crossing Southern Boulevard from the east sidewalk to the west sidewalk in Mott Haven when he was struck by a gray Chrysler 300 four-door sedan, officials said.
The Chrysler continued traveling southbound, making a right turn onto East 149th Street and another right turn onto Prospect Avenue then traveled to parts unknown.
EMS transported the victim who suffered serious physical injuries to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where he was pronounced dead.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
