NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The NYPD is searching for a man who groped a 27-year-old woman as she was walking up the stairs in a Queens subway station Saturday. Police released photos of the suspect to aid the investigation.
At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday the victim was walking up the stairs leading to the 7 train at the 40th Street–Lowery Street subway station in Sunnyside, officials said.
Police said that while she was climbing a man reached up from behind her and grabbed her buttocks and pelvic area before running off in an unknown direction.
There were no injuries reported in relation to this incident.
The man, depicted in photos provided by the NYPD, is 30 to 40 years old and was last seen wearing a beige coat, blue jeans, white and blue sneakers, a blue baseball cap and black gloves.
