NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A Queens man, 76, was killed last month during an altercation over a parking spot, and the NYPD released photos of the suspect on Friday to help find the assailant.

It happened at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, when a man stepped out of his car and confronted 76-year-old Mohammed Hossain near 167th Street and Hillside Avenue. Sources familiar with the case said that the two became engaged in a verbal dispute about a parking spot.

The fight turned physical, police said, when the man punched and pushed Hossain, knocking him out and causing him to hit his head on the pavement.

The suspect fled the scene in a black four-door sedan with tinted windows traveling eastbound on Hillside Avenue.

Hossain, who lived about six blocks away from the crime scene on 173rd Street in Jamaica, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in critical condition with trauma to his head.

He succumbed to his injuries three days later and was pronounced dead, officials said, prompting a homicide investigation.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, jacket and face mask, gray pants and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
