NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man has reportedly been charged with murder in the stabbing death of his older brother at a lower Manhattan apartment on Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to the Alfred E. Smith Houses in Two Bridges around 3 p.m. for a report about a man assaulted.
When the officers arrived at the apartment on Saint James Place, they found a man lying unresponsive with a stab wound to his stomach, according to police.
The man was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A second man was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Sources told the New York Post on Sunday that Triquang Au, 50, was charged with second-degree murder after he told officers, "I just murdered my brother."
Au allegedly still had a knife in his hand when he confessed, according to the report.
Police said an investigation is ongoing.
