Earlier in the day, protesters packed Foley Square to rally against anti-Asian hate crimes, which have spiked in the city and nationwide over the past year.
Attendees at the rally said they were on edge after a string of violence, including bias attacks in the city and the mass shooting at Atlanta-area spas last month in which most of the victims were women of Asian descent.
