NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A Queens man was indicted for pulling a fully loaded gun on another subway rider during a dispute on a train on the Upper West Side this month, the Manhattan D.A. said Friday.

Michael Monahan, 33, faces multiple weapons-related charges, including two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the May 4 incident on an uptown 2 train.

According to court documents, Monahan and another man were arguing, it's unclear about what, as the train was approaching the 96th Street station at 7:30 a.m. that morning.

During the quarrel, Monahan allegedly displayed a firearm that was fully loaded with five rounds of ammo at the other rider, who ran to hide between train cars as other passengers also fled.

Monahan was arrested at the 96th Street station after witnesses pointed him out to patrol officers, prosecutors said. A loaded .38 caliber revolver was allegedly recovered, along with a switchblade.

“This alleged conduct also jeopardized the safety of the other train passengers and thankfully, nobody was hurt,” D.A. Alvin Bragg said. in a statement. “Our transit system is no place for dangerous weapons and anyone who seeks to cause harm will be held accountable.”
