Queens man arrested for burglarizing Walgreens on Long Island

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Nassau County police arrested a Queens man accused of robbing a Walgreens on Long Island early Friday morning.

According to detectives, at 3:38 a.m. officers responded to the pharmacy located at 210 South Broadway in Hicksville for a commercial burglary.

Upon arrival, officials determined that Ali Idrizi, 30, broke the front window of the store, entered the store and stole various merchandise items from the shelves before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

Idrizi, a Briarwood resident, was located in the parking lot of the Hicksville train station and placed under arrest without incident.

Idrizi was charged with burglary, petit larceny and criminal mischief.
