NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Wednesday arrested a 33-year-old Queens man that was wanted in the 2022 fatal stabbing of Pennsylvania man, authorities said.
Maurice Smith was charged with murder, strangulation, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to officials, at approximately 6:32 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 109-02 Merrick Blvd. in Addisleigh Park.
Upon arrival, officers discovered31-year-old Talil Maddox of Tobyhanna with multiple stab wounds to his body. EMS transported him to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A short time later, a 39-year-old man walked into Jamaica Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm and is believed to have sustained the gunshot wound in the vicinity of 109-02 Merrick Blvd. He was listed in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital.
