NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police arrested a 44-year-old man on Friday for attacking a woman, shooting at her when she ran away and then firing at five unoccupied parked cars the next day in Queens.

Salvatore Mussumeci put his hands over a 46-year-old woman’s mouth and nose on 30th Avenue near 50th Street in Flushing around 11:05 p.m. on Sept. 29 and shot at her when she fled to her vehicle, according to authorities.
A little over two hours later, Mussumeci allegedly drove his SUV around Whitestone and shot at parked cars.
Police accused him of hitting a white van at 146th Street and 21st Avenue; a 2007 Jeep Wrangler parked at 15th Drive and 149th Street; a 2007 Chevrolet Express 1500 at 154th Street and 21st Street; a yellow cab at 154th Street and 22nd Avenue; and a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado on 20th Road near 147th Street.
The car shootings took place between 1:20 a.m. and 1:40 a.m. on Sept. 30, officials said.
Police charged Mussumeci with weapons charges, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief for firing at the cars.
He also faces attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and weapons charges for the attack on the woman.
