NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A subway rider was punched in the face as he asked his attacker for directions at a station in Queens, police said Friday as they released images of the suspect.
The 49-year-old victim approached his assailant on a platform of the Broad Channel station in Broad Channel shortly before 5 p.m. on June 30.
As he was making a "transit inquiry," the other man socked him in the face multiple times, police said.
The attacker fled the station after the assault.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
