NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Rapper Polo G was arrested on Wednesday at a Manhattan hotel after police found a handgun in his room during a search, the NYPD said.
The rapper, born Taurus Bartlett, was staying at The Dominick Hotel in SoHo when a housekeeper found a gun and called the police, officials said.
Cops executed a search warrant and found the loaded handgun—along with $23,000—in his room.
The 25-year-old star, known for his chart-topping debut album “Die a Legend,” was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a loaded firearm.
Polo G was arraigned on Thursday in Manhattan Criminal Court and pleaded not guilty to all charges, court records show. Bail was set at $25,000 and was quickly posted.
The California-based rapper is expected back in court on June 4, and will be able to appear virtually.
