NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A former NYPD officer fatally shot himself in Queens on Monday, authorities said.
The 55-year-old retired officer shot himself near the Whitestone Expressway and 3rd Avenue in Whitestone around 2 p.m. on Monday, the NYPD confirmed to 1010 WINS.
The department couldn't immediately provide any additional information about the man's death. An investigation is ongoing.
