Robber places gun to throat of man, 99, in $20K robbery in Manhattan

NEW YOTK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage Thursday of a man sought in a $20,000 home invasion robbery at a Manhattan residence earlier this week that left a 99-year-old man injured.

According to police, at about 10 a.m. on Monday, the victim was at the entrance gate of a residential building near West 187th Street and Audubon Avenue in Hudson Heights, when he was approached by the suspect.

The suspect struggled with the victim, forced his way into the building, and then placed a firearm to the victim's throat.

The suspect allegedly forced the victim to an office, where he stole approximately $20,000. He then fled the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center for treatment of two broken fingers and a hand laceration.
