NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three thieves masquerading as a “cleaning agency” stormed a Brooklyn home and stole $122,000 in jewelry and other valuables, the NYPD said Thursday.
Police released images of the suspects in the brazen home invasion in East New York last Friday morning.
According to police, the two victims—a 31-year-old man and 30-year-old woman–were inside their residence in the area of Vandalia Avenue and Fountain Avenue around 9:30 a.m. when a woman knocked at the door.
The woman said she was from a “cleaning agency,” but when the residents opened the door, two men with guns showed up, and the trio forced their way inside, police said.
They entered a bedroom and stole $118,000 worth of jewelry, along with a purse, wallets and credit cards, police said. The total value of stolen items was about $122,000.
The suspects then fled southbound on Fountain Avenue towards Seaview Avenue.
No injuries were reported in the robbery, police said.
