NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New York real estate scion Robert Durst, who is currently on trial for the murder of his friend Susan Berman, was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Thursday, according to reports.

Durst, 78, was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles after he fell out of his chair in jail, the Daily News reported.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Windham, who is overseeing Durst’s trial, dismissed jurors Thursday morning and said the proceedings would resume Monday, according to the outlet.

“He wouldn’t be taken to the hospital without a legitimate question as to health,” Windham reportedly said.

Durst has been charged with fatally shooting Berman in the head in Los Angeles in December 2000. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in November 2016.

Prosecutors say Durst believed Berman was going to speak with investigators about his first wife, Kathie Durst, who disappeared in 1982.
