NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Thursday released a photo of a scooter-riding suspect wanted in connection to a string of chain snatchings in the Bronx last month.
The first incident happened at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, a 30-year-old woman was in the vicinity of Shakespeare Avenue and Edward Grant Highway in Mount Eden when she was approached by the suspect on a scooter who snatched a necklace from her neck.
The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction.
At approximately 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, a 38-year-old woman was in the vicinity of Morris Avenue and East 162nd Street in Concourse Village when she was approached by the suspect who snatched a necklace from her neck before fleeing the location in an unknown direction.
The third incident happened just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, a 29-year-old woman was in the vicinity of Washington Avenue and East 171st Street in Claremont when she was approached by an individual on a black scooter who snatched a necklace from her neck.
The suspect then fled the location westbound on 170th street.
At approximately 10:35 a.m., a 17-year-old girl was in the vicinity of Longwood Avenue and Dawson Street in Longwood when she was approached by an individual on a scooter who blocked her path and snatched a necklace from her neck.
The suspect fled the location northbound on Dawson Street.
A fifth incident happened at approximately 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17. According to officials, a 27-year-old woman was in front of 997 East 163rd St. when she was approached by the suspect on a red scooter who attempted to snatch a necklace from her neck.
The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction.
The victim suffered minor injuries to her chest and refused medical attention.
