NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a man who mugged people at knifepoint and fled on a moped in nearly a dozen robberies across Brooklyn and Queens.

The suspect has been linked to at least 11 muggings between Nov. 7 and Dec. 10. Seven of the robberies were in Bushwick, six were in Cypress Hills and one was in Ridgewood.

The victims were all men ranging in age from 20 to 47 years old. None of them were physically injured, but they were menaced with a knife, including one who had a knife held to his throat, police said.

According to police, the suspect usually targeted the victims in the middle of the night, riding up on a blue moped and then mugging them at knifepoint. He got away with cash, cellphones, headphones, bank cards and jewelry.

In the two most recent robberies in Bushwick on Dec. 5 and Dec. 10, the suspect asked the victims for directions or for the time before robbing them. In a third robbery from Dec. 3, he forced a man to unlock his cellphone at knifepoint.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
