Four days later, around 11 p.m. on June 8, he climbed through a window into a home near Livonia and Jersey avenues and stole a backpack, a purse and sneakers, the NYPD said.

A day later, he broke into four different homes in the same area, police said. He stole handbags from two of the homes, but didn't end up taking anything from the third home, according to police.

After he broke into a fourth home, near Belmont Avenue and Wyona Street, a resident confronted him, so he fled, the NYPD said.

The burglar was last seen carrying a backpack and wearing a white t-shirt, sneakers and grey jeans with a black stripe, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
