NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Staten Island man died after he flew off his dirt bike into a utility pole Friday morning, the NYPD said.
Kaiton Holden, 35, was riding south on a sidewalk on South Avenue, near Edward Curry Avenue in Bloomfield, around 10:15 a.m. when he lost control of his bike and flew off, hitting a utility pole, a preliminary police investigation found.
The Mariners Harbor resident was taken to Staten Island University North Hospital with head and body trauma after the accident, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital, the NYPD said. An investigation is ongoing.
