NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A sightseeing boat on the East River lost power on Friday afternoon, leading to a rescue and towing operation by New York City and Coast Guard officials.

The boat lost power just before 4 p.m., both the NYPD and FDNY confirmed.

Police said that because of the power loss, the vessel hit a walkway on South 3rd Street and River Street, off Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
