NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD on Friday released a sketch of a would-be rapist who put a teen girl in a headlock then dragged her into woods in the Bronx last week.
According to police, at approximately 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, a 15-year-old girl was walking along a path inside of Pelham Bay Park when she was approached by the suspect who engaged her in conversation.
The suspect then proceeded to put the victim in a headlock and dragged her to a wooded area of the park before attempting to sexually assault her., cops said.
The victim fought off the suspect and fled the location. She suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.
Police described the suspect as being approximately 20 to 30 years old with a medium complexion, slim build, mustache, curly eyelashes and thick eyebrows.
He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
