WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Police in New Jersey released sketches of two suspects wanted in connection to a sex assault and armed robbery currently under investigation.
Officials are asking the public for assistance in identifying the individuals believed to be involved in the incident, which occurred at around 9 p.m. on Friday, April 16, an announcement by Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge Police Department Director Robert Hubner said.
According to authorities, the suspects approached a man and woman in the area of Lee Street and Scott Place and then held them at gunpoint.
Further investigation determined that the female victim was sexually assaulted, officials said.
Police believe that one suspect wore a cream or gray hoodie and sweatpants or jeans at the time of the assault, while the second was wearing a gray Nike hoodie and white Nike sneakers.
