NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Skittles wants its fans to not only “taste the rainbow,” but live in one, and is offering up a colorful and curated New York City micro apartment to the winner of its Skittles Littles Living contest.
Entrees will have until May 21 to submit to the sweepstakes, which will provide a 353-square-foot apartment in Kips Bay to one lucky winner with a year’s rent paid for by the brand.
The contest is meant to promote Skittles' small yet sweet invention, Skittles Littles, which is reflected in the small-scale living space. The apartment is in Manhattan’s first micro-unit apartment building, Carmel Place.

Described as “micro in size but maximized in aesthetic and functionality,” the unit was designed by Gen Z interior decorator and TikTok sensation Dani Klarić, and attempts to tackle a common problem in NYC’s competitive housing market: space.
"Living in a small space doesn't mean you have to think small when it comes to style,” Klarić said. “I had so much fun transforming the SKITTLES Littles Living apartment with bold colors and funky furniture."
The micro unit includes a walk-in closet, full bathroom and array of funky furniture chosen for the space, as shown in a video tour given by Klarić.

Amenities for the building include a virtual doorman, gym, laundry room, recreation room, roof deck and more, while extra amenities provided by the contest include a weekly housekeeping service and bathroom stocked and re-stocked with goods from Malin & Goetz, an apothecary brand.
"SKITTLES isn't afraid to max out the micro and deliver a truly pleasantly perplexing way to experience our newest innovation, SKITTLES Littles," Vice President at Mars Ro Cheng said. "We hope to inspire moments of everyday happiness for fans, helping them enjoy the little things in life through our SKITTLES Littles Living apartment."
Entrees must be age 18+, and the full terms and conditions are available here.
