NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a suspect accused of slashing a man on a Manhattan street, then running into a nearby nightclub over the weekend, authorities said.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, the victim, a 26-year-old man was standing in front of 680 6th Ave. in the Flatiron District, the NYPD said.

According to officials the suspect approached the victim and slashed him in the face with a knife causing a severe laceration.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot into Bounce Nightclub located at 55 West 21st St.

The victim was transported by EMS to Lenox Hill HealthPlex - Greenwich Village in serious but stable condition.
